  1. New Dance Classes in Porthleven!

    Cornwall Dance had a great time at the Porthleven Circus Fayre event on Saturday June 8th performing and holding workshops for the local children! The following week Cornwall Dance held a Trial Day of dance lessons, which proved to be popular.

    After the success of our Trial Dance Day, at Porthleven Village Hall on Sunday June 16th we are delighted to announce we are going to be holding regular classes at Porthleven Village Hall - including Streetdance, Contemporary/Ballet and Trix Classes for ages 4-16yrs.

    The Classes will be starting Sunday June 30th and will run as follows;

    12-1PM - Kids Klub Contemporary/Ballet - for 5-9yrs

    1-2PM - Kids Klub Streetdance - for 5-9yrs

    2-3PM - Junior Ballet/Contemporary Class - for 10-15yrs

    3-4PM - Junior Streetdance/Hiphop Class - for 10-15yrs

    4-5PM - Trix Class - Breaking, Locking, Popping - open to any age!

    Newcomers are welcome to just come along on the day and give it a go! Lesson's are £4 each!

  2. Ballet Classes starting on a Monday Evening in Newquay!

    Due to demand, Cornwall Dance and Drama have some fab new Dance Classes starting on a Monday Evening in Newquay - at Yoshimi's Salon/Studio, Wesley Yard.
     
    Advertisements will be going out across Newquay this week so keep your eyes peeled for our flyers hanging around! The class will be open for students to come along this evening as I know some of you were hoping the class would start properly this week! However it will take a while for numbers to build as this is a brand new class - so anything you can do to help spread the word about the classes is a great help to us!
     
    The classes will run as follows -
     
    6.15pm - 7pm Junior Ballet Class - for 6-10yrs this class looks at the very basics of ballet technique, posture, positioning and spacial awareness is focused on and we put little fun routines together to help the student use their technique.
     
    7pm-8pm Senior Ballet Class - for 11-15yrs this class builds on previously learnt technique and encourages skills such as spotting, spinning (pirouettes), stamina and core strength! This all sounds rather serious - but here at Cornwall Dance we like to work hard and have fun - we allways encourage and reward passionate students! We then put together fun routines again helping them to learn technique!
