We have had a fab weekend in the sun putting together our filmed project - Made in Cornwall! Our IDTA Freestyle Contemporary Class have danced all weekend in full costume and makeup at various different Cornish Venue's including Bre-Pen Farm and Ed Prynn's fabulous Stone Circle, and have gained great experience working in front of the camera - or 8 camera's to be exact! The fab set-up included scafolding, runners and a smoke machine - and was created by Geoff Mason Brown (Cornish Fimographer) and Matt from Truro School who did a fantastic job of catching all of the great moments over the weekend! There will be editing galore over the next few weeks as we work through all of the footage - I have had a sneaky peak and it is looking fantastic - so keep an eye out and watch this space!!

Every Monday evening from 4-6pm in Fraddon Village Hall, our awesome Hiphop and Street teacher Lucy Chadwick (came second with her team at UDO South West recently) will be teaching the different styles of Streetdance (Locking Popping etc) - making up routines for our shows and jamming to some awesome tunes - Lucy loves to work hard but enjoys every minute of teaching and her passion shines through and reflects with her students progress! Every Thursday evening from 4-6pm at Richard Lander School - brand new to the school - we are providing Beginners Ballet Technique Class for slightly older students looking to start ballet for the first time or improve on technique. Designed for 11yrs + these classes encourage older students to start to learn ballet at the basics, with students their own age. We will be working on the basics and will gradually build on their knowledge of the dance with the option to take their exams. Followed up by Soft Pointe and Pointe Class for slightly older students - 15yrs+ - looking to further their careers in dance and theatre.
